Hello!
I’m glad you made it here.
My name is Kelenna Caleb Azu, but most people simply call me Caleb, so please feel free to do the same.
Like most kids, I loved staring at bright things. So much so that the only way to get me to sit still was to place a candle in front of me. Then I looked through my first kaleidoscope, and the light I loved broke into color. Part of my brain felt fundamentally rewired. Put every color in just the right spot, angle the light, and the rest of the world fades away. In that moment, I wished for nothing more than to let someone else look through my eyes.
Photography is the closest I’ve come. To me, a photograph reveals one of the many faces we carry, one that words cannot quite express.
From there, I found my way into modeling, fashion, and creative directing. I’ve come to appreciate the little decisions that shape an image, like an expression held just a second longer. What seems effortless in the final frame is often the result of countless thoughtful choices.
Studying Game Design and Interactive Media taught me to think about the person on the other side: where their eye lands first, what they notice next, and what makes them stay. Whether it’s a photograph, a film, a poem, or a game, that’s who I’m creating for.
There’s an entire world behind every image, and I want to experience as much of it as I can. I’m still that kid with the kaleidoscope, hoping to let someone look through my eyes.
